Our styles evolve, interests change. Kids grow up in the blink of an eye. But the stuff stays — barely used, still valuable, awaiting a second life. Every home holds perfectly good things that simply aren’t needed anymore — while another family nearby might be looking for exactly that. With rising prices and overflowing donation centers, it’s clear: we need a smarter way to consume. ·Clothing swap or exchange is not a donation drive, and it’s not second-hand shopping. It’s about giving forward and accepting items for use, within a community. No selling, No bargaining. SwapCircles Events and Impact, so far
Since the start of 2025, SwapCircles has partnered with schools and community organizations to host light-weight, high-impact swap events. Taking conservative estimates from environmental impact studies by EPA, Ellen McArthur Foundation, World Resources Institute, this is the impact of these last 4 SwapCircles’ community exchange events [watch them in action], so far.
As of June 2025, ~290 clothings have been re-circulated via SwapCircles events.
👚 ~320 pounds of clothing diverted from landfill.
💧 ~193,000 gallons of water saved - that’s drinking water for 1000 people in 1 year.
🌎 ~1.5 tons of CO₂ reductions - equal to driving 7,000 fewer miles in a year.
