What's all this about Sustainable Living?
Why should we care about Sustainability?
As free individuals, we value the ability to make our own choices according to our goals and principles. Making sustainable choices is crucial to transforming our personal lives for a better future. Sustainable living is achieved by promoting social, economic, and environmental equity for all. We must ensure that our needs are met without compromising the needs of future generations living on our planet. Building an eco friendly sustainable society is a big challenge, but one that we must undertake.
Governments are responsible for managing social and economic well-being through policy and sustainability goals. Industries and corporations provide goods and services to people and operate for profit, but ultimately have to cater to the needs of the society to survive. As citizens and consumers, we have a role to play. We can influence decisions that are made by governments and corporations by raising awareness about sustainability, voting responsibly in favor of climate action agenda and making sustainable choices in our own lives.
What is a "sustainable lifestyle"?
At KaizenLife, a sustainable lifestyle is about designing our lives keeping environmental health in mind. It's important to complete the cycle of production, consumption and disposal if we want to build a regenerating eco-system for our future needs!
We all know about the importance of reducing plastic waste, carbon emissions, and greenhouse gas emissions. But it also includes managing food waste, electricity consumption, gas consumption, water conservation, garbage disposal, single-use commodities, ethical buying and so on. These are all directly linked to our daily activities and in turn the health of our planet.
Building an eco friendly sustainable society is a big challenge, but one that we must undertake. KaizenLife is an effort towards building an environmentally sustainable lifestyle by exploring ways to make continuous improvements to our daily lives. Imagine if billions of people made sustainable choices every day. That is the scale of our influence!

I understand, not all of us are in a position to make all the sustainable choices right away, nor is this sustainability blog trying to advocate any extreme measures overnight or inconveniencing and disrupting daily life. We will attempt to take a balanced approach towards adopting useful changes that can help us live sustainably. We can all begin with small useful changes in our daily lives, and hold ourselves accountable. Time to be the change we want to see..
